Dry Chipotle peppers ground
Ancho Chilli powder
Red Chilli peppers (thinly sliced)
Cabbage
Radish
Aioli
Limes

Grind chipotle peppers using a mortar and pestle. Whisk your ground Chipotle, Ancho chilli, olive oil and lime juice to create your marinade for your fish. Cut fish into strips and marinade for 2 – 4 hours. Pan fry fish until it is cooked and has developed a nice golden crust.

Warm each tortilla on a hot plate or fry pan and fill with thinly sliced cabbage, add your cooked fish and top with a few slices of radish and fresh sliced red chilli.
Mix a little freshly squeezed lime juice with aioli to make a tasty refreshing sauce to top your tacos.

When presenting soft tacos it may be worth getting your hands on some taco holders, these are a great way to serve your soft tacos standing up.

  • Use any large firm white fish that flakes, alternatively crumb your fish with panko or a crispy light beer batter.
  • Use lettuce instead of cabbage for a lighter feel and taste.
  • Great on the go or as a bar snack, starter or light lunch.
  • Remember the hot sauce and fresh limes for the full experience!
